ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The INTERNATIONAL FEEDLOT COWBOY ASSOCIATION (IFCA) is sponsoring an Academic Scholarship to recognize students that have shown academic achievement during their high school career. The purpose of this scholarship is to reward students who have shown interest in achieving an academic education while exhibiting other characteristics such as community service, leadership, and participation in a well rounded curriculum. The IFCA scholarship for $500.00 is to be used to pay tuition, fees and other educational costs incurred. The scholarship is payable directly to the college, university, or technical school and must be used within one year of award. It will be required that any IFCA scholarship recipient who terminates their studies during the first semester after receipt of award, return the scholarship funds to the IFCA. This requirement may be reviewed for humanitarian reason on written explanation of such termination.
Qualifications: As of application date, student must have been an active IFCA member for the past three (3) years, who is planning to attend a recognized institution of higher learning to pursue an academic or technical degree within one year of award. Also qualified to apply is an IFCA member who has been active the past three (3) years and is currently enrolled or attending an institution of higher education to pursue an academic or technical degree. The student must have exhibited capabilities to maintain a 2.5 GPA, positive participation in school sponsored and civic activities, as well as exhibit characteristics in leadership which will contribute to the successful pursuit of a career. Financial need will be a consideration as well.
